Diabetic (or Neuropathic) Ulcers

Diabetic foot ulcers can occur anywhere on the foot or ankle, often impacting the bottom of the foot. Diabetic foot ulcers can be related to an inability to feel, numbness, decreased sensation, or even a feeling of ‘pins and needles.’ Controlling blood sugars and wearing proper footwear are two ways to help these types of wounds heal. But the single most important thing someone can do to help these types of wounds heal is just to stay off your feet- which is often easier said than done.
